CHPC ANNOUNCEMENT: Use of /scratch/general/lustre

In recent weeks, /scratch/general/lustre has been going down on a regular basis. We
have been working to identify the root cause of the outages, but so far we have not
been able to do so. In addition to the recent issues, we note that the lustre scratch file system is over
7 years old and is no longer under warranty.
We therefore want to take this opportunity to remind users that there are two additional scratch spaces: /scratch/general/nfs1
and /scratch/general/vast and recommend that users migrate their usage of scratch
to one of these two newer scratch file systems.
